Main research fields: Mainly engaged in Mesozoic reptiles (especially dinosaurs, pterosaurs) and their stratigraphic research. Focus on the morphology, phylogeny of large sauropod dinosaurs, and phylogenetic studies of the small theropod disnosors and pterosaurs. The work area mainly involves: Western Liaoning, northern Hebei, Henan province (southwest Henan like Ruyang, Luanchuan, Nanyang), Chuxiong of Yunnan province, Heyuan of Guangdong province, Nanxiong basin, Ganzhou of Jiangxi province, Inner Mongolia, Jiayin of Heilongjiang, Gansu, Datong of Shanxi, and other research projects. He has completed 2 National Natural Foundation projects, and is directing 1 project. He has participated in many large-scale international dinosaur expeditions (Canada, Mongolia, Thailand, Japan, etc.), published more than 90 papers at home and abroad, of which 40 SCI search ones as the first author, 4 monographs as the first author (including co-author).
